Bright pixels, dark rooms
McKlain is where melody, videogames and electronic momentum meet: AY chiptune, synthwave and soundtracks. MCK55 moves in the opposite direction, towards ambient, drones, processed textures and abandoned spaces.
The separation is not a disguise. It gives each kind of music enough room to establish its own expectations before the first note.
One restless electronic imagination
Both projects still come from the same fascination with machines and atmosphere. The difference is where the attention goes: McKlain often asks how much life can fit into a small system; MCK55 asks how large an empty space can become.
